POSITION TITLE: AMR Installers on Water Meters
LENGTH OF PROJECT: 1 year
PAY: $12.50 per hour
WORK HOURS: 40 HOURS per week
*1 hr lunch; M-F
*We will have various shifts due to scheduled appointments with homeowners; please screen the temps for their availability of working hrs within the hrs of 6 am - 8 pm.
*Some Overtime maybe required and some Saturdays due to making up
due to bad weather, etc.
TASKS:
*Install AMR (automatic meter reading) devices on water meters in
residential and commercial utility customers' home and or businesses.
*Change out water meters as needed.
*Install wiring of AMR device through substructure of building/house.
*Install Electronic Radio Transmitter (ERT) on outside of building/house.
*Deliver excellent customer service.
*Enter residences and businesses as needed to install AMR device
and wiring.
*Ensure AMR device is working properly.
*Maintain a clean work environment.
*Abide by all safety training and regulations.
*Drive UPA provided vehicle during working hours in a safe and
appropriate manner.
REQUIREMENTS:
*Ability to communicate effectively with Utility Customers.
*Outstanding Customer Service skills.
*Ability to read meters.
*Knowledge of construction, alarm system wiring, telephone wiring,
surround sound wiring, and/or cable installation is required.
*Basic understanding of a cell phone.
*Ability to comprehend a Handheld device used to capture AMR data.
*Ability to drive a UPA vehicle safely.
*Possession of a valid driver's license at all times.
*Maintain a well-groomed appearance and professional image at all
times.
*Pass criminal background check, motor vehicle record check, drug
test, sexual offender background, and a basic vision test.
